{  DEE'S ANNOUNCEMENT LIST   }

  Volume 1, Issue 1

Dear Reader,

I'd like to take a moment to thank you for your support. The workings of a list is pretty simple.  The editor/author writes and the list members read and supply feedback in writing or continued readership.  According to my stats, you've all been reading and telling a friend or two, so I've kept on writing.

Life sometimes throws us a curve when we least expect it.  We can either keep going straight and drive off the edge or we can utilize our reflexes and steer into the curve even as we wonder if it was always there or if we'd missed the curves ahead road sign for lack of attention.

My position was recently eliminated  and within a days time two years at the best job I ever had, except for when I owned my own business was over.

After much thought, reflection and a surprising lack of anger, I realized that I was simply relieved.  But didn't I just say it was the best job I'd ever had? I did, didn't I? Somewhere along the way, I'd confused the best place I'd ever worked with the best job I'd ever had and refused to admit that try as I might, I was a square hole trying to fit into a round peg.

What does that have to do with my announcement?  Not a darn thing, but I just felt moved to share.  Maybe someone reading this is struggling with the same situation and hesitant to make a move due to the fear that accompanies  the uncertainty of change?

Change when well organized ... can be quite good.  Don't get caught out there ... look to the road signs for the possibility of curves ahead and if you spot the signs, prepare yourself for reflexive steering or evasive maneuvers.

Peace,
Dee

That being said: born out of the extra time on my hands, I introduce the latest of my lists:

  • Bipolar Pipeline:
The suicidal have a hotline, the slaves had a railroad, now the bipolar have a pipeline. An avenue to direct the flow of information in the direction it needs to go. If you've felt isolated and that no one knows what you go through ... I do. Come on in and share, we truly care.

  • Caring For Your Natural Hair:
Get answers to your questions about natural hair care, as well as tips and tricks to get the best out of your natural hairdo as you transition from chemicals to natural hair.

  • Dee's Announcement List:
A list created strictly for the purpose of facilitating announcements across all my lists (on a voluntary basis).  The list is preloaded with all list members. However, if you do not wish to receive announcements on top of the newsletters to which you subscribed. You may change your preferences by utilizing the link supplied at the end of this newsletter.

I know I get heated when I sign up for a newsletter and then suddenly, I'm receiving solo mailings and whatnot. The idea is to allow already existing (and new) subscribers the freedom of choice as to whether they'd like to receive time sensitive special announcements versus same being filtered through the newsletter on its scheduled date.

The announcements will include but not be limited to: upcoming give-a-ways, book releases, press releases, new articles, new books for review, new products, new contributors, new cultural opportunities, new job opportunities and yes--a carefully selected advertisement or two.

NOTE: In accordance with above statement, all subsequent issues of Dee's Announcement List will be sent ONLY to subscribers of Dee's Announcement List.

  • Extra:
Extra money--good thing. Extra clothes--great thing. What about extra pounds? Has the word extra become more of a liability than you'd have ever imagined? Then this newsletter is for you. Here we focus on you instead of your extras.

  • Role Reversal:
Having a bit of trouble dealing with the fact the you've become a parent to your parent(s)? Then this newsletter is for you. With a supportive tone it includes interviews and ideas from fellow caregivers. It delineates coping strategies and resource links to agencies that can assist.

There they are, my new babies, so to speak!  Hope to see some of your email addresses on the new lists.  And remember, your input is always welcome, via email below, blog comments or use of my site's contact form.
